Veterinary Internal Medicine & Intensive Care
Although many of our patients are treated and able to return home right away, there are also times when a pet must be hospitalized for more intensive treatment. Whenever a pet may need intensive care for illness or injury, Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital will always be at the ready.
We are equipped with all necessary equipment for pet hospitalization and intensive care:
- Administration of IV fluids and medications
- Vital sign monitoring
- Supportive care
Our veterinarians and support staff are all well trained to support sick and injured pets in our hospital, and we have extensive background and experience in critical care.
We also work closely with our colleagues at the Central Pennsylvania Veterinary and Emergency Treatment Services in State College for patients requiring care overnight or on weekends when our hospital is closed.
